I have always been fascinated by the power of images and by how color can transform the perception of a space. My first contact with painting was almost instinctive, on the walls of Milan, and over time it evolved into a conscious research into techniques, materials and new visual languages. This path led me to the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, where I worked with tempera, acrylics, enamels, enamels and oils on canvas, as well as graphic prints, lithographs, silkscreens and airbrush. In my artistic practice I have mainly developed a figurative language rooted in realism, rich in detail, to make both the image and its meaning precise and clear. Starting from a technical study of light, shadow and the “architecture” of color, I developed new ways of using spray cans that allow me to create large-scale works in a short time, with a stronger visual impact and a more conscious, measured use of color.

Shauna Anseo is an Irish muralist and street artist based in London whose large-scale figurative works explore light, storytelling, and belonging. Her murals sit between portraiture and mythmaking, using painted light as both an aesthetic and narrative angle. After working in arts management across museums and community festivals, she moved from studio to street, shifting her practice toward collaboration and public space. She has since produced murals across the UK, Europe, Mexico, and the US, working with councils, festivals, and communities to translate local stories at architectural scale. Her current body of work, Myths & Legends, reimagines folklore and oral histories through a contemporary lens, depicting ordinary people as modern archetypes. Drawn to myth for its ability to be both hyper-local and universal, Shauna’s work traces how places define themselves through shared stories, and how those stories evolve.
